I was given a 62 page book of companies that hire people to work at home as employees or Independent Contractors, freelance opportunities and just other legitimate ways to make money. A lot of companies are not in my area of expertise like skip tracers, accountants amongst others, but with the unemployment rate at 8.5% in March I figured I would work through these links as fast as I could. I have found several dead links and I do like to do a little bit of research on them before I post them.

In the state of the economy and my personal layoffs I experienced in the last 12 months I truly believe that you need several multiple streams of income to be prepared for anything that may happen, because in many cases, if you work for a company online (just like in a regular brick and mortar business) you will get no notice if you are going to be laid off. Right now my 2 main sources of income are LiveOps and ASP, I also work FT for a 3rd company at home that I just started a week ago as an employee. I have been working at home since 1992 and will never work outside the home again. This gives me the chance to home school my son and be more in charge of my financial life.
